Professional Experience
Graduate in Political Science and International Relations from Paris 8 University, Alberto García has coordinated audiovisual projects focused on education and community development in Spain, Mexico, and the Middle East.
In Kurdistan in particular, he worked at the Duhok Film Festival (Iraq) and was part of the Rojava Film Commune (Syria), where he coordinated and carried out training projects, festivals, music videos, and documentaries.
He writes for several publications on cinema, the Global South, and identity, and is especially interested in exploring political and social issues through genre cinema. He has directed several short films and is currently completing his first feature film as a director in Barcelona.
