Professional Experience
Aitor Coteron began his professional career at the age of 16 when he was cast in the series Goenkale (ETB, Euskal Telebista), marking his first contact with television.
In 2003, he studied Television, Film, and Performing Arts Production at the CEV (Centro de Estudios del Video) audiovisual school in Madrid. During his internship with the production company Plural Entertainment España, he produced two entertainment formats for ETB. After this experience, he moved to Madrid to further develop his career as a producer, working on nationally successful programs such as Nada por Aquí with Noteo Films (Cuatro), Distracción Fatal with Grundy Producciones (Antena 3), El Precio Justo (Antena 3), Factor X (Cuatro), Sorpresa Sorpresa with Videomedia (Antena 3), Elígeme with Fremantle Media España (Antena 3), and two editions of El Coro de la Cárcel with 3Koma (La 1 de TVE), among others.
In 2009, Aitor settled in Euskadi and founded his own production company. From 2009 to 2012, he produced several entertainment programs for ETB and co-produced, along with Manuel Aguilera (Miami), the documentary Pablo Ibar, Último asalto de un Urtain, which aired on ETB and TVE (Documentos TV).
Despite his career as a producer, Aitor also maintained his artistic side as an actor. During this period, he participated in three nationally produced films: TRES60 (Dir. Alex Ezkurdia), LASA Y ZABALA (Dir. Pablo Malo), and BI ANAI (Dir. Imanol Rayo / Ópera Prima). In the latter, he played a leading role, and the film won the Zinemira section at the San Sebastián Film Festival.
In 2013, he signed an international co-production agreement with Mexico News Network, part of Lomas Travel (Riviera Maya, Cancún, Mexico), strengthening his private and public relations in Mexico. Upon returning to Euskadi, he was hired by the Basque production company Prime Time Media to produce Gailurra Xtreme, a successful ETB program that ran for four seasons. Thanks to this project, Aitor gained extensive geographical and technical knowledge of the mountains in the Pyrenees and the pre-Pyrenees. This expertise led him to become the location manager for Euskadi for Lexus Europe in 2019 for the launch of one of their vehicles. He was also the location manager for the first Spanish fiction series for Orange Series, Caminantes, produced by the company 100 balas (The Mediapro Studio) and directed by Koldo Serra.
